The arrival of the new Management Team DC has caused changes in the editorial structure, but no effect on the creative aspects. There have been layoffs and removal of directors from East Coast to West Coast, including the classic Mike Carlin (edited Byrne's Superman!) Has been replaced in the animation department at Warner. Otherwise follow DC comics in general, as boring as in recent years. And glimpses of the creative changes, much as Bob Harass has been named Editor in Chief of DC, a position he already had in Marvel. Interestingly
Harass
also caught a bad time at Marvel, when the economic bankruptcy that caused Ron Perelman and creative bankruptcy, which had its peak with The Clone Saga and Heroes Reborn . It was the nineties, folks. Dispossessed of Harass Avengers and Fantastic 4 comics released yet so longed as Ka-Zar , Thunderbolts or Slaughter when it was still tiresome. DC is full of characters that need similar treatment, but for now, there has been little or nothing.
DC The year has been dominated by pain in the ass The night ... say, dark. As stated by Peter Narrow, is another of those stories by Geoff Johns darting rays of colored characters. Like many sagas of DC history is not an end but a means to resolve a prior evil thing, in this case the ridiculous profusion of deaths in this universe. The objectives were: to explain why so many characters have died and risen (cosmic explanation, not the commercial, that is already known), resurrected in a row a few characters who had died recently, and renew the copyright of another bunch of characters, that while still dead, you never know when they will be useful.
crossovers of this series are so ridiculous and repetitive. The scheme was always the same: the characters faced their fucking dead, both physically and emotionally. Because these zombies are not to eat the flesh of the living, but eat their morals, telling them how bad they were and all that. A suckling pig, as I said.
More excitement and quality have been the series of Batman, with the return of Bruce Wayne, these fichitas dominoes and those scripts troublemaker of Grant Morrison. Still, the Batman-Robin-Dick and Damien is quite a find.
the rest of series, Superman, horrible, before and during the fiasco of Straczynski, who was seen and not seen here as Wonder Woman. And the other new releases, infumables. Much work will have Harass if you want to amend it, which only manages recruiting talent. There is no other.
DC Universe seems to be running as an inspiration for real image films and cartoons, a field in which they are pointing out for good.
I miss the Vertigo line. Series still quite good, as Fables, Northlanders, Madame Xanadu, Scalped, The Unwritten, DMZ ,..., but those who seem to have forgotten her own capitostes are DC, which scares me the day are agreed that there is Vertigo line and scoop out the calculator.
As they did with Wildstorm.
